Admission Results for the Academic Year 2006-2007 and 2005-2006

General Condition

  • Sudan Secondary School Certificate or equivalent Certificate. 
  • Pass in compulsory subjects: Religious Education, Arabic, English, Basic and Specialized Mathematics plus subjects qualifying to admission.

Special Conditions

The percentage is calculated on seven subjects according to the nature of each college:

1. B.SC. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Aviation, Petroleum, Survey, Textile, Plastic Engineering, and Leather Engineering.
Religious Education Arabic English Specialized Mathematics Physics Chemistry One best subject is selected from:
computer science, Engineering Science.

2. B.SC. in Architecture, the average is calculated on the following subjects:
Religious Education Arabic English Specialized Mathematics Physics Chemistry One best subject is selected from:
computer science, engineering science, art and designing.

3. B.SC. in Biochemistry, Computer Science, Computer and Information Systems, Mathematics( College of Science) ,Physics (College of Science), Mathematics( College of Education), Physics( College of Education), Agriculture ( Mechanized Agriculture).
The average is calculated on the following subjects:
Religious Education Arabic English Specialized Mathematics Physics Two best subjects are selected from:
chemistry, biology, computer science, engineering.

4. B.SC. in veterinary medicine and animal surgery, medical laboratory, diagnostic radiology, therapeutic radiology.
The average is calculated on the following subjects:
Religious Education Arabic English Specialized Mathematics Physics Chemistry Biology.

5. B.SC. in Agriculture, Food Technology, Animal Production, Plant Protection, Production, Horticulture, Extension and Rural Development, Agricultural Economics, Soil and Water Science, Family and Community Science, Wildlife and Fishery, Forestry, Range.
The average for the above mentioned specializations is calculated on the following subjects:
Religious Education Arabic English Specialized Mathematics Biology Chemistry One subject is selected:
physics, geography, environmental studies, agricultural and animal production.

6. B.SC. in Ground Water Science and Technology, Surface Water Science and Technology, Chemistry ( College of Science), Chemistry ( Science Laboratory), Physics ( Science Laboratory), Chemistry ( College of Education), Technology( College of Education).
The average is calculated on the following subjects:
Religious Education Arabic English Specialized Mathematics Physics Chemistry One best subject is selected from:
biology, animal science, engineering science.

7. B.SC. in Applied Statistics, Business Studies, Management Information Systems.
The average is calculated on the following subjects:
Religious Education Arabic English Basic or Specialized Mathematics Three best subjects are selected from:
geography, environmental studies, history, commercial studies, biology, physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering science, agricultural and animal production.

8. B.SC. in English and French ( College of Education).
The average is calculated on the following subjects:
Religious Education Arabic English Basic or Specialized Mathematics Two best subjects are selected from:
geography, environmental studies, history Plus one of the subjects qualifying to admission.

9. B.SC in Music, Drama, Physical Education, Psychology, Arabic Language, Secretarial Studies.
The average is calculated on the following subjects:
Religious Education Arabic English Basic or Specialized Mathematics Plus three best subjects qualifying to admission.

10. B.SC. in Fine and Applied Arts (College of Fine & Applied Arts/ College of Education)
The average is calculated on the following subjects:
Religious Education Arabic English Basic or Specialized Mathematics arts and designing Plus two of the subjects qualifying to admission.

Private Intake

  • Any Sudanese university can admit students whose scores are short of the admission requirements on a private intake system.
  • Private intakes should not exceed 25% in each college.
  • The applicant's score should not be less than 12% than the required average.
  • The fees are decided according to nature and requirements of each college.
  • Private intake is subject to all admission's regulations and criteria.

Non Sudanese Candidates

  • Scholarships provided by the government of Sudan to friendly countries *Seats allotted by the government of Sudan to regional and international organizations.
  • Foreign candidates are also admitted under private intake system provided that the intake should not exceed 5%.
  • The candidates, moreover, are required to meet the general requirements.

Newcomers

  • Initial study fees are defined by Secretariat of Academic Affairs according to information stated by the candidates in his/ her Nomination Form.
  • Committees in charge of interviewing and registering fresh students under Secretariat of Academic Affairs' supervision have to follow these procedures:
    1.Interview fresh students to know if they are eligible to continue the study.
    2. Define the final fees and students are obliged to submit supporting documents.
    3. Direct students to undergo medical checkup.
    4. Approve the registration in special forms and transfer these forms to each college.
    5. Students who pass the interviews and the checkup have order for payment from the registrars to pay the fees decided by the committee.
    6. The student will be registered when he presents his/her form.
    7. The students' Nomination Forms will be returned to the Central Admission Administration if they do not complete registration procedures as timetabled by the Secretariat of Academic Affairs.

Continuing Students

Promoted students and students carrying over some subjects are registered in their colleges under supervision of heads of departments and deans. *Promoted students , students carrying over some subjects and those who have not registered according to the announced calendar can freeze their study if they meet paragraph 12-1 of examination regulations.
Students not promoted according to clause 2-7 , must register to sit for their failed subjects.
